Boat Smart (US Power Squadron)

Useful for all boaters including sailors, skippers of family cruisers and hunters and fishermen using outboards. Upon completion of the course participants will be eligible to receive a State of Ohio boating license. Pre-registration is NOT required. Materials fee is $20 payable to the instructor. This 1 hour, 8 week course is designed for anyone who has a basic understanding of the Spanish language and wishes to continue learning intermediate techniques. Intermediate grammar will be taught, as well as more advanced audio visual participation with the Rosetta Stone Software Program. This course is a great continuation of the Level 1 course, as well as an economical way for High School Spanish Students to improve your grade in your second year class. Instructor: Moncada
Water Quality Around Your Home

Learn how simple practices installed around your home can improve water quality and reduce pollutants in storm water run-off. Rain gardens are landscape features planted with water-tolerant, perennial, native plants. These beautiful gardens are planted in depressions or low areas which are designed to capture and filter pollutants storm water runoff. Rain barrels collect and store rainwater from rooftops. They conserve water and reduce the amount of storm water runoff. Learn how these and other simple practices can improve the water quality in local communities.
Beginning Knitting
Knit101 Jan. 23 - Feb. 6 Wed. 6:30-8:30 pm 6 hrs C201 $40
Learn to case on, knit, purl, bind off, various increases and decreases, correcting errors. Students will create a dishcloth. Please bring 7-10" needles. Beginning yarn will be furnished. Yarn for dishcloth will have to be purchased.
